Good day fellow Thomas E. Penick Jr. American Inn of Court members across the 6th, 12th, and 13th Circuits.
As you no doubt are aware, we all are adjusting to and coping with a new reality. The COVID-19 pandemic is having a devastating impact and toll, with loss of life being of the greatest concern.
Accordingly, we are postponing the All-Circuit End-of-Season Joint Meeting as originally scheduled to be hosted by the 12th Circuit on Tuesday, April 21, 2020.
While the possibility of a digital meeting was reviewed, with so much change and adjustment already underway, and based on the nature of the end-of-season meeting, it was deemed best to postpone so as not to cause more change/adjustment, and to allow everyone to direct their focus and attention where needed most – on day-to-day affairs. Due to the uncertainty of the present situation and the prospective duration, a reschedule date has not yet been determined. We will continue to monitor the ongoing situation and will send out an announcement once a new date is deemed viable.
We are an organization proudly serving as the nation’s first elder law Inn of Court, focused on an area of law and demographic of clientele comprised significantly of those who are currently the most vulnerable and susceptible. We fully appreciate and acknowledge our duty and responsibility to our colleagues, our clients, our family and friends, and to humanity in general. Remember, we are all here to help, support, and lift each other, both professionally and in the practice and service of our clients – and there is no more important a time than right now. So please continue to reach out to and to call upon each other, whether by telephone or email or teleconference/video, as we all need and can benefit from the ongoing connection, support, and camaraderie.
Stay safe, and be well.
